In Class Based on a true story the following names have been altered to protect the identities of those involved.
Ms. Artinez-just a teacher
Jimmy-Baseball player
Alex- student council vp
Tommy- football player and treasurer of student council
Chelsea- that one girl everyone hates because she is so smart
Teacher: Get in the classroom! If the bell rings your late and your getting a referral!
(students shuffling in)
Teacher: Ok settle down. Get your books out and turn to page 303. Pass your summaries up to the front. Who didn’t do their assignment?
Jimmy (the baseball player) raises his hand
Teacher: You didn’t need to raise your hand; I figured most jocks wouldn’t do the assignment anyways.
Jimmy: But Miss I just wanted to ask what page you wanted us to open our book to. I have the assignment right here.
Teacher: ok well turn to page 303. Who wants to read?
Jimmy, tommy and alex raise their hands.
Teacher: We need someone who can read quickly, Alex why don’t you read?
Alex goes on to read 2 pages and is then stopped by Ms. Artinez
Teacher: Chelsea, why don’t you go ahead and read
Chelsea: im sorry Ms. I have a sore throat and can barely talk
Teacher: Well since nobody else wants to participate. Tommy go ahead and read.
Tommy begins to read and after a brief pause, the teacher stops him and begins to read herself.
Tommy: why didn’t you let me continue Ms?
Teacher: We don’t want to be here forever.
Tommy: Are you serious? Why did you let Alex read for so long without you stopping her, I read faster then her I just needed to catch a breath?
Teacher: Do you even know what we are reading about? I mean all you athletes are the same, you guys try to act like good students, but all your doing Is annoying everyone else. You guys need..
Jimmy: I have a 3.5 so I wouldn’t know what your talking about, I think that’s better than half these nerds in here.
Tommy: as a matter a fact, we are reading about how atoms are the basic building blocks of ordinary matter, And how an atom has an electron cloud consisting of negatively charged electrons surrounding a dense nucleus.
Teacher: wow that’s a first, did you and your team come up with that on your own? Or did you just read it from your cheat sheet?
Do you remember the actual dialouge that went on during the conversation? If you do, it would be great to use that and the actual action that occured.
